Презентация по предмету Fashion English: My style. Me as an art person.

После новогодних каникул прошла презентация "My style: me as art person" среди студентов 3 и 4 курсов, на которой каждый рассказал о своем стиле, вдохновляющих его образах, показал некоторые предметы своего гардероба.

Васи Ганешина:

Hello my name is Vasya. I want to tell you about my wardrobe and my attitude to my outlook. I don’t have any particular style because I choose clothes depending on my mood. I don’t like wearing the same clothes for along time. I like to play with different images, it’s not my way to always wear the same things for a long time. So if you see me wearing the same it means that I haven’t slept at home. I prefer to do shopping in different kinds of second-hand shops and flea markets. It is a unique case when I buy a brand new thing which is only possible if I like it very much and it means that I’m going to wear it for a long-long period. Old vintage clothes attract me as it definitely has some kind of history behind contrary to the mass market faceless products. One of my weaknesses is old school shoes and jackets. I’ve been wearing this type of shoes till they get holes in the soles so I have to put in them some insoles frequently. I’m keen on skateboarding and snowboarding and that affects my style very much especially during high-school and university years. These were hip-hop saggy baggy style pants and XXXXXXL t-shirts first. And then I turnes to pun-rock slim fit pants and raggy top. And now I like to combine both styles. I’m not afraid to look stupid or funny as sometimes I want to shock people with my outfit. My motto is “Never be afraid to experiment with your style”. If someone tells you look strange it would be the best compliment.

Since being a child I have been thinking that clothes play a great role in people’s lives. Clothes have a lot to tell you about.

I’ve enjoyed altering since school. Whatever my mother bought me nothing was ideal for me, so I altered everything with joy. I’ve always stood out from the crowd and really loved it.

For the moment I don’t really pay that much attention to the way I’m dressed. But in fact I’m only saying it, hahah, because everything that I have in my wardrobe was whether altered by me or done by me. A lot depends on music I listen to. I’ve always loved to mix styles, so to speak genres of the clothing. Sometimes I even get irritated when I see a person dressed in a single theme, no matter if it’s classics or a sportive style.

My image always expresses protest.

I absolutely love skinny jeans. Still can’t get myself male pantyhose/tights, hahah

I admire clothing both for women and men. I love high heeled shoes as much as flats.

I like old clothing: whether they were bought at the flea market or found in my parents’ wardrobe or just totally worn out by me. It’s’ cool when you can give a second life to old things.

I have a habit to find stuff or just receive as a present, whether it’s brand new or even worn out.

I like when my clothes are filled with some spirituality, remind me of pleasant moments, then they become even more precious.

But I never feel sorry for things that I lose; I believe that it means that I definitely will find something new.

I can’t relate my style to any of those which are known today in our society. It seems that I’m unique, hahah.

I believe that clothes’ purpose is to conceal more than to show off.

I prefer limited amount of colours: I use restrained black and grey and vanishing beige colours. Sometimes flashes of bloody red have to break the colours’ thought-out reservation.

I’m fascinated with classical out-of-time looks, military ascetic and logical lines of the uniforms.

I’m charmed by the delicate shine of the ancient orthodox Madonnas and severity of national ethnic costumes of the Russian North.

I feel the necessity to explode this traditional Russian gravity and passion for tragic. I want to kill the melancholy in myself. I need someone like Rossy de Palma to ridicule on it.

Yes, I am still inspired by the images of the Japanese horrors with their “unhappened” unemotional beauty. Kitchy and multi-colored images of the Chinese сommunist paintings interest me too. They all used to wear very ordinary and simple stuff.

I dream to be a teenage American boy in his 15. These guys have a great ability to dress up in a way of absolute obscurity and anonymity. Simultaneously I am charmed by the Italian way of dressing up. Their luxury, sensuality and particular sense of black.

I divide clothes into two types: this casual wear for the studies. It is mostly dark-colored clothing. I like these clothes because I work with paints and when I’m dressed in regular clothes I’m not afraid to get dirty.

I usually don’t wear skirts but when I don’t work or study I wear feminine things I can even put a dress on.

I like men’s clothes more than women’s. I love jackets and shirts.

I almost always wear heels or platform shoes, because I feel that I am short.

I love accessories.

I love rock-n-roll style. Bracelets in a goth/heavy metal style is my passion.

Sometimes I have no time to assemble an outfit, but I always do a make-up. Wearing good make-up makes me feel confident and feeling confident is the most important thing for me. I can’t say that I have for me a particular style of clothing: every day I like to think of something fresh. I like to experiment with differenr styles, even if they not in my nature. I like to try on different styles because when I do this I feel myself in different skin. It gives me new perspecture and energy.

Hello, my name is Kolya. I'd like to tell you about my style.

Frankly speaking I haven't found my own style yet, but I'm in the process of creating. Any style depends on environment, fortunately, every person has an intuition and make something from the inner world.This element of dissimilarity makes your style different. So now my style is about experiment, but there are a lot of things I really like and I try to use them in my outfits. For example, gothic and on the contrary something playful, colourful. I need to change over the time of my life, thereby i have an opportunity to feel how time goes.

I prefer to feel myself solemn and at the same time futile inside.

My image and I connect together and introduce my personality.I think every person must live in the world from its head. So do I.

sometimes my style is about a tramp or about a person who doesn’t care about what another people think about him.

sometimes i like to be like a tourist, i like to be invisible and free. I have 2 favorite backpacks, one of them is made of leather and another one smells like a forest or a fire till now. I think this smell is like a part of me.

sometimes i look like a cowboy or a farmer. I prefer men’s wear more then women’s. I like wide belts, big hats and of course jeans! and yes, i really like necklaces, rings and smth like this, but I prefer iron necklaces more then jewel. my favorite one is a cross.

I do not have certain style. I love experementing with it all the time. sometimes I prefer homestyle. I think it is cool to feel on the streets like you are at home. I do not afraid of looking ridiculous. I love buying strange clothes. sometimes I love wearing casual things, I feel very comfortable in it. what about footwear, I love boots as much as shoes! unfortunately I have only one pair of shoes.

My clothing style depends on my mood, the weather and the season of the year.

I wear clothes of any style: from classic vintage sweaters and dresses to jeans and t-shirts with British symbolics.

I pay a special attention to my hairdress. In summer I usually dye it in some agressive colors and in winter I clipp it. As I think that hair keeps the memories and too much information, which sometimes you are to get rid of.

Bright shirts and different leggings I wear in summer. In winter I mostly dress in black and gray colours. I like sneakers and chequered shirts. My favourite lipstick colour is bright red.

I don’t like leather because in my opinion its not good for the nature and our planet.

Hello my name is Danila Shisterov I am a beginner designer. I would like to tell you about my style. In my style i like black colors in my clothes because black color is poetic and in to me black is not sad. But i also like gray and white. In this color i can see silhouette and pattern more than in bright colors. In clothes i like some t-shirts long sleeves or short sleeves. Also i like uni-sex clothes such as dresses skirts jackets and i like heels.

i love shoes and i'm so happy that there are so many different shoes in the world.

Many people may think that i'm crazy because of my style. I am different and that is how i like it .

In winter i love snowboarding and in summer skateboarding. I can't imagine my life without music. But i was born in the city in the mountains. I can't live without mountains. Many people associate me with black Raven. I find these birds beautiful and intelligent.
